Kate VanHorn is a social entrepreneur and has been running mission-driven businesses (both for and non-profit) for the last 10 years. She specializes in customizing organizational architecture, intentional culture creation, teaching the art of group facilitation, human relationships in organizational settings, helping business owners and governance boards with financial decision-making as well as collaborative team facilitation and inclusive leadership models.  Kate has served on several boards and committees ranging from the arts to health and human services. She’s passionate about giving teams and communities the tools they need to succeed at their missions. She holds a B.A. in Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and also has been a long time continuing ed student at Washtenaw Community College. She lives in Washtenaw County with her two daughters and all their pets!  When she’s not working on her hulgerkultur garden or out for a hike, you can usually find her knitting or crocheting near a campfire or bundled on her couch!
