Along with COVID-19 came the challenges of addressing the many psychological hazards that this pandemic has had on our children. In the wake of this crisis, professional and licensed children’s therapist Ryan Ploch connected with the Michigan SBDC to open Fortitude Children’s Therapy.
With many small businesses facing financing and marketing challenges, Ryan worked with the Michigan SBDC and Business Growth Consultant Harry Blecker to help develop a business plan and for CARES Act sponsored website development. The Michigan SBDC also helped Ryan obtain his LLC and EIN documentation, which led to the formation of bank accounts, early bookkeeping systems and a new website.
“The Small Business Development Center was a big help navigating the beginning stages of running a mental health therapy private practice,” said Ryan Ploch, Owner of Fortitude Children’s Therapy. “Harry and the SBDC helped me with business administration, taxes, financials, and so much more. They provided me with marketing data and even helped me get my website up and running. When starting a business it can be so overwhelming, but Harry's support and knowing I could get questions answered made me feel much more at ease. Now my business is thriving in a few short months and I greatly appreciate the SBDC's help and support throughout the journey.”
Now Fortitude Children’s therapy is open for business to provide effective therapeutic intervention as early as possible to realign the children’s trajectory back on a course towards the joyful, fulfilling, and successful life they deserve to experience.
