Kristi Kozubal has over 15 years of experience working with small businesses, non-profit agencies and local government organizations, including 10 years as an attorney in private practice, service as Interim Executive Director to a 125-year old women’s empowerment non-profit, and 3 years in a dynamic role as a community planner for the City of Bay City.
Kristi’s experience in counseling and advising individuals and businesses includes strategic planning, data analysis, communications, negotiations, policy-making, financial restructuring, succession planning, executive recruitment and business management. She has significant professional experience in fiduciary accounting and reporting, due process and systems development, and a broad base of business, real estate and commercial transaction matters.
Kristi is a licensed Michigan attorney with a Juris Doctor degree from Michigan State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan. She is currently a Fellow in the Henry Marsh Institute of Public Policy at SVSU and recently joined the faculty of the Central Michigan University Global Campus in the Masters of Entrepreneurship program. She is also a recreational house flipper, gourmet cupcake baker and an avid volunteer with several non-profit organizations including the Bay Area Community Foundation, BaySail, the YWCA Great Lakes Bay Region, and Habitat for Humanity.
