    Dale Anderson has been doing business consulting for many years. Prior to that he worked in a variety of companies and held positions in finance, strategic planning, sales management and brand management. He is also currently a financial advisor and has Series 7 and Series 66 certifications. He is also the main control person for Ionia, Allegan, and Barry counties, and the Grand Rapids Hispanic Center.

    He has a BBA in finance and marketing from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and an MBA in finance from the Grainger School of Business at the University of Wisconsin.

Dan has also taught Corporate Finance at the college level. Dan has a degree in finance from Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy.

    Brooks Kindel is a small business strategist and coach. He has a BBA and MBA from Western Michigan University with concentrations in accounting and corporate finance. Since starting his career as a banker, he has held a variety of corporate finance positions including CFO and has been General Manager of several manufacturing operations. He has significant experience in over a dozen industries as well as business turnarounds, and mergers & acquisitions.

    Kristi Kozubal has over 15 years of experience working with small businesses, non-profit agencies and local government organizations, including 10 years as an attorney in private practice, service as Interim Executive Director to a 125-year old women’s empowerment non-profit, and 3 years in a dynamic role as a community planner for the City of Bay City.

    Kristi’s experience in counseling and advising individuals and businesses includes strategic planning, data analysis, communications, negotiations, policy-making, financial restructuring, succession planning, executive recruitment and business management. She has significant professional experience in fiduciary accounting and reporting, due process and systems development, and a broad base of business, real estate and commercial transaction matters.

    Kristi is a licensed Michigan attorney with a Juris Doctor degree from Michigan State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan. She is currently a Fellow in the Henry Marsh Institute of Public Policy at SVSU and recently joined the faculty of the Central Michigan University Global Campus in the Masters of Entrepreneurship program. She is also a recreational house flipper, gourmet cupcake baker and an avid volunteer with several non-profit organizations including the Bay Area Community Foundation, BaySail, the YWCA Great Lakes Bay Region, and Habitat for Humanity.

    Previous to joining the SBDC, Jose advised a network of Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealerships in Indiana on measuring & improving their operations in order to increase their customer satisfaction scores and their sales. As the leader of his family’s small real estate business, Jose turned around an unprofitable operation by stabilizing the revenue streams and right-sizing the portfolio. Jose holds an MBA from Wayne State University, a BS in Industrial Engineering from Kettering University and certifications in Small Business Consulting and Lean Six Sigma.

    Julie Oldham, CPA, CGMA as the business growth specialist with the Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC) office, Grand Rapids, Julie Oldham serves Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties’ small businesses. SBDC, a statewide organization, provides no-cost assistance and counseling to growing companies with revenues in excess of one million dollars and nine or more employees. She analyzes a company’s financial performance to determine impending issues in the next stage of growth. Julie provides strategic analysis and information on international exporting and SBA loans.
